What you need before you start

Install the chatbot on Wix
Wix’s Custom Code setting lets you choose exactly where the snippet loads.
- In your Wix dashboard, open Settings and select Custom Code (under the advanced or development section).
- Click + Add Custom Code and paste the Assistrio snippet.
- Name it (for example “Assistrio chat”), choose All pages, and select Load code once.
- Under Place code in, choose Body – end.
- Click Apply, then visit your live site in a private window to test the chat launcher.

Add your domain to allowed websites
Assistrio only loads your Agent on websites you approve. Before you test, open your Agent in Assistrio and add every domain visitors use to the allowed websites list — the browser sends your page’s origin, and it must match an entry exactly.
Add your connected domain with and without www if both resolve. Wix custom code generally runs on your connected domain, so test there rather than in the editor preview.

Test the chatbot on your live site
Open your published site in a private browser window so cached files and logged-in editor views do not hide the widget. The chat launcher should appear in the corner of the page; ask a question your knowledge covers and confirm the answer, then ask one it does not cover to check the fallback and Lead Capture behavior.
Every test conversation appears in Manage Conversations, so you can review exactly what the Agent said and add missing knowledge before real visitors arrive.

Troubleshooting on Wix
If the chat launcher does not show up, work through these checks in order:
- Custom Code does not run in the Wix editor or preview — test on the live site.
- If you cannot see the Custom Code option, check that your plan supports it and a domain is connected.
- Confirm the code is set to All pages and Body – end.
- Make sure your connected domain is in allowed websites exactly as it appears in the browser.
